Musical Theater Production Camp
Disney’s PETER PAN JR.
This is your chance to join the Live Arts Youth Theater Company in its second annual Summer Musical, Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. You and your fellow castmates will embark on a three-week musical theater journey culminating in four public performances on the Gibson Stage. This is your chance to perform in a full Live Arts show while making new friends, collaborating with professional musical theater artists, and singing, dancing, and acting! This year’s camp has more events than ever, including a cast party at Live Arts after the final show and a surprise performance of musical numbers on the Downtown Mall.
Based on the Disney film and J.M. Barrie’s enchanting play, Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. is a modern version of the timeless tale about a boy who wouldn’t grow up. The score includes new arrangements of classic Disney songs and a story featuring one rousing adventure after another. Peter Pan comes to visit Wendy and her brothers and whisks them away to Neverland. Their journey introduces them to the Lost Boys, Mermaids, Indians, and even the infamous pirate, Captain Hook!
Whether you are a musical theatre expert or just starting out, our experienced team of theater artists will guide you and the rest of the cast as you rehearse the show. Along the way you’ll receive individual vocal and performance coaching as well as additional master classes and workshops on a variety of topics, including audition techniques, song interpretation, character development, dance, movement, and more.
Participation in the Youth Theater Company Camp Disney’s Peter Pan Jr. is by audition only. Performers must be ages 8-14 at the time of auditions in order to participate.
