Next year we will be doing more Summer Musicals and Plays! Auditions will be held in April 2018. The Disney's Peter Pan Jr. took place August 4th and 5th, 2017. The Complete Works of Shakespeare and A Midsummer Night's Dream took place on August 11th and 12th, 2017.

Put on a Shakespeare play in two weeks?!? YES!! This is rapid-fire theater making, Live Arts style. You’ll become part of the Live Arts Youth Theater Company troupe of actors who will move quickly with the guidance of a Live Arts director and artistic team to produce a one-act of Shakespeare’s most popular comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Shakespeare’s mischievous fairies, complicated romances, bumbling actors, magic, and laughs are all here. And if you’ve got an itch to roll up your sleeves, sharpen your pencil, and get in rehearsal then this is the show for you.

In the first week of camp you’ll go through the audition process and participate in a crash course in all you need to know to act in a Live Arts Shakespearean production, including script analysis, voice & movement work, and exploration of Shakespearean text. In the second week of camp you and your faculty of seasoned theater artists will get deep into rehearsals as you focus on building stage presence, creating a character, and making bold choices. Finally, the camp will culminate in two public performances on the Gibson Theater Stage. This is your chance to act in a Live Arts show while making new friends, collaborating with professional theater artists and practicing your acting skills! All roles are available and enrollment is limited so that every performer will be featured.
