Put on a Shakespeare play in two weeks?!? YES!! This is rapid-fire theater making, Live Arts style. In the first week of camp, you’ll go through the audition process and get a crash course in all you need to know to act in a Live Arts Shakespeare production, including script analysis, voice and movement work, and exploration of the Shakespearean text. In the second week of camp, you and a faculty of seasoned theater artists will get deep into rehearsals as you focus on building stage presence, creating a character, and making bold choices. Finally, the camp will culminate in two public performances in the Founders Theater. This is your chance to act in a Live Arts show while making new friends, collaborating with professional theater artists, and practicing your acting skills! All roles are available and enrollment is limited so that every performer will be featured.
