Unleash your inner comic and study the craft of being funny! In this one week session led by seriously funny theater artists, campers will work closely with our staff and one another to put together an online gallery of work to share with family and friends. The following four classes will be offered (all campers will have all 4 classes each day):
Claire Chandler will teach Writing Original Sketch Comedy, guiding students to create their own short scenes and monologues.
Ti Ames will teach Acting in Comedic Scenes, using existing texts from Shakespeare to classic vaudeville to contemporary comedy.
Sam Reeder will teach Online Improv Games and Techniques, making use of the opportunities and advantages of an online forum for fun, silliness, and quick thinking.
Ray Nedzel will teach The Art of Standup, helping students to hone their comedic personas, joke-craft, and storytelling.
